Furry Flitchers is changing

TLDR; Furry Flitchers will be winding down its home boarding and daycare services to concentrate on setting up a breeding kennels.

For the past six years, it has been a true privilege to care for your dogs, we want to thank you for trusting us with your pets from the bottom of our hearts. We've put a lot into FurryFlitchers being the best it could be, and we hope to carry the experience forward to what has become our dream to start a breeding kennel of Bernese Mountain Dog. 

Why We Are Making This Change

This decision allows us to focus on our long-term plans and the well-being of our own dogs:

• A New Direction: We are transitioning toward breeding Bernese Mountain Dogs. Welcoming a female into our home and raising future litters requires a quiet, low-stress environment without the regular turnover of guest dogs.

• Focusing on Monty: Our boy Monty is getting older. We want to ensure his prime and senior years are more peaceful, giving him the chance to settle into the role of an "uncle" to our future litters (which will no doubt be anything but peaceful for him). 

What This Means for Your Bookings

To give you time to make alternative arrangements, we are phasing out our services gradually rather than closing immediately:

1. No New Clients or Ad-hoc Bookings: Effective immediately, we are no longer accepting new clients or taking any new ad-hoc bookings.

2. Term-Time Daycare: For our existing routine daycare clients, we will continue operating through the end of the upcoming spring term, wrapping up services at the start of the Easter school holidays.

3. Existing Boarding Bookings:

   • Any existing bookings scheduled up to the Easter school holidays will be fully honored.

   • If you have a booking placed beyond this 6-month window, we will unfortunately be unable to fulfill it.

We will be reaching out individually over the coming days to anyone whose bookings are affected by these timelines.
